Monsoon 2022 has blessed us with lots of rain this year and we haven’t had to water in over 2 weeks now. Of course the bark, cardboard and straw has helped hold moisture in the soil.

We’ve harvested some tomatoes and a few hot peppers so far but as you can see from the pictures there lots of things growing (in the lower garden area).

The upper garden area still seems to be behind but is still doing well, we are hoping for a good harvest from up there before the weather changes.

You can still plant crops now for a fall garden. Cool weather crops such as

Did you know that some crops can be grown in 60 days or before the weather turns cold such as-

Herbs can be grown in pots and taken inside during the winter. Having fresh herbs during the cold months are wonderful especially during the holidays.

If you don’t have a place to garden start with 1 or 2 pots and grow something. A sunny window is a great location.

Are you looking forward to fresh vegetables and herbs?  Within 2 weeks we should have tomatoes, hot peppers, fresh mint, chives.  Things we are growing that aren't quite ready are baby watermelon,  Rosemary, Sage, Peas, Cucumbers and Bell Peppers.  

These items when available (and more) can be purchased every Sunday in the parking lot of Family Dollar from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Ash Fork, AZ. Weather permitting.

Do you have a sweet tooth? Need something for breakfast or a snack? Luckily I have lots of goodies you can choose from.

A wide variety baked goods from individual brownies, cookies and breads to full loaves of both quick and yeast breads. Also cinnamon rolls, coffee cakes and kolaches.

All items are made from scratch without preservatives. Only real butter is used and the eggs are provided by our chickens and ducks. Packaging is kept to a minimum as not to add more to a landfill.

You can find these goodies on Sunday in Ash Fork, AZ in the Family Dollar parking lot 8 am to 2 pm. (Weather permitting). Look for the blue canopy.

They can also be purchased as a special order directly from me. All special orders require payment in advance.

You should even if it’s a pot of herbs in your window. I’ve been trying to grow gardens for about 10 years and each year it’s been a struggle.

This year we have been blessed with lots of rain so far in Monsoon 2022. It’s been so dry here we truly needed the rain (even if it’s all coming at once 😊).

​I’m sharing a video of our lower garden below to give you an ideas of how I’m doing things different this year. I added cardboard & bark and it has helped keep moisture in that growing area definitely a plus.
